Homes and Hops

Since the 1920’s, Palm Springs has been the playground for Hollywood’s elite. To this day, just the mention of Palm Springs evokes images of Tinseltown’s biggest stars laying in the warm desert sunshine sipping cocktails by the pools of their private estates.

The tour will take you through the famed “Movie Colony” and the Old / Vista Las Palmas area where you’ll pass famous homes and landmarks such as Frank Sinatra’s Twin Palms Estate, Kenny Irwin’s RoboLight’s House, the Miami Vice House, Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church, Ruth Hardy Park, the Ingleside Inn, Desert Regional Medical Center (formerly the El Mirador Resort), and the Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway.

Throughout the tour your guide will reveal the sizzle and scandal that defined the Hollywood scene in the Coachella Valley. With a liberal dose of star gossip, mid-century architecture and pop culture, this tour is sure to keep you fascinated and entertained!

After the Mid-Century Modern home tour, the group will head to a local brewery! Enjoy an afternoon of fun as the group visits one of the premier micro-breweries in the Greater Palm Springs area: La Quinta Brewing Company.

At the brewery stop, you will learn about the micro-brew process and what flavors go into the beers and you will have the chance to taste several exceptional craft beers (you will taste a total of 3-4 beers on the tour).
